Is your hair dyed a color other than your natural? If so you damaged your hair by coloring it and straightening it. Your hair can only handle so much chemical processing. Go to a salon as soon as possible.

Have you straightened your hair before?

By 'a lot' do you mean...chunks? or strands?

It's normal for quite a few strands to fall out when straightening or even brushing but if chunks are falling out then see a hair dresser.

Always make sure you don't hold the straightener in one spot too long. Do u have a professional straightener? if so you have be careful because they can get a lot hotter than the cheap ones. I use the matrix straightening shampoo and conditioner also everyday before I straighten my hair I spray it with this protective hair spray stuff(sorry I don't know what it is called) If this doesn't help go to a professional although they will probably tell you the same thing.

Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo. Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
