Am i a sell out because I straightened my hair?

I'm a 17 seven-teen year black teen. i have a nice complextion and i love to do my hair. I recently straightened my hair and now some people are giveing me crap about it. they say i'm trying to be somthing i'm not. What's that about?

Am i a sell out because I straightened my hair?

I have been there. It will take some time but it will stop . Just ignore it and continue to flourish your creative independence. It is hard to be different and it shows strength to stand up to it. Not everyone wants to be from the same mold. Stand out!

Am i a sell out because I straightened my hair?

Dont listen to them. They're just jealous because they aren't allowed to or cant afford straightening their hair.

Am i a sell out because I straightened my hair?

they are just hatin' if you ask me. Wear your hair how you want to .

Am i a sell out because I straightened my hair?

Well thats a little immature for people to say. I know a lot of the black girls here on campus all straighten their hair. I wouldnt pay any attention to them. Do what makes you happy.

They are jelous. Dont worry about u.bet u look good, and they dun want u to

Am i a sell out because I straightened my hair?

jealousy. tell them to mind their own business. My neighbour's kids used to come to me after they had their hair washed, because I had more patience with untangling the mass of frizz they had then they or their parents did. They got theirs straightened as soon s they were able to pay for it themselves( daddy said they were cop outs, too, but he was old fashioned)

you should pay them no mind. i do the same thing ( perm ) and i'm in my 30's. be you, don't let no one make you feel that way. alright !

Don't listen to people. They usually start saying that because they are jealous. Women straighten, curl and find other ways to change their hair to compliment and accentuate their features. Black, white, Asian, Latino women all do it, not to change who they are as people but to improve or simply change their appearance. Famous people do it so why shouldn't you. Jennifer Lopez straightens her hair, Angela Basset straightens her hair, are they trying to be something they're not.. NO... Honey you are not a sell out, changing your hair does not change who you are....It however may make you more fabulous...

Am i a sell out because I straightened my hair?

you are not a sell out. screw what people think and say.

Am i a sell out because I straightened my hair?

don't pay attention to other people what hey say....u know who you are what u belief and that's all it matters.

do what ever you want to your hair go blond if you want lol...lol..that would not make you be a sell out.閳?br>Am i a sell out because I straightened my hair?

they're just jealous

Am i a sell out because I straightened my hair?

Tell everyone to look around...how many black females don't straighten their hair!

Am i a sell out because I straightened my hair?

your not a sell out so what if you decided to straighten your hair

Am i a sell out because I straightened my hair?

Don't worry about these losers. You do what makes you happy. You don't have to explain yourself to them about how and what you do with your hair. Their just jealous because you probably look a lot prettier than you did before now that your hair is straight. These people are haters and I wouldn't let them worry me. You know who you are and that's all that matters. I don't think just because you wanted to have your hair straight makes you something your not. Let these people know that it doesn't matter what their opinion is. You do what you want to do and if they have a problem then that's just what it is, THEIR PROBLEM, not yours.

Am i a sell out because I straightened my hair?

No, you are not a sell out. It's your hair, you are allowed to style it any way you like.
