When straightening your hair is it better to turn on to high heat or low?

low heat doesn't work and i keep the iron on my hair longer. i tried max heat today and my hair is like silk, but will this damage? i straighten my hair usually 4 out of 7 days.

i use heat protectant.

Use high heat or in the medium heat, it may damage it but just use straightening spray.

As long as you use a good shampoo/conditioner/intensive conditioner regime, like Aussie, and let your hair air dry by itsself some days, you'll be fine. If the low heat doesn't work you obviously need a higher setting

My hair straightener has a high setting for wet hair and a low setting for dry hair, but I still use the high setting because like you said the low setting does nothing. When I don't use a heat protector I can literally see my hair steaming it is so hot, but when I use a protector it is fine. So, I think as long as you use the protector it should be fine.

when i straighten my hair i always but it on the highest number but i also use a heat protectent too. but i stopped blow drying it so its not too much heat. it might only damage it a little bit since you use the heat protectent

use low. it may take longer, but how higher the temparature how more it will damage your hair.
