How to straighten my wavvy hair?

My hair is a little wavvy of shoulder length and they are quite thick. Can I straighten it without going to a salon? If I have to visit a salon, what kind or straightening do I have to do? Which one is permanent or lasts long?

Try this product "Got 2 Be" Smoothing cream.

Invest in a good straightener. Apply the cream when your hair is still slightly damp and then straighten. Smooth a tiny amount of silicone shine serum on your finger tips to style and fight frizz.

okay the best of the best straightening iron is the chi. this i because it locks in the moisture and it doesnt get your hair frizzy. but remeber if you are going to buy this straightener, make sure you go to a salon or the mall to but it because you might never know if a straightener online is the real one. i have the paul mitchell straightener and it works very very very well. thats the second best straightener. it heats up in 9 seconds. and then you can just buy some products that you put in before straightening and that will help you straighten your hair easily. i hope i helped and good luck with your hair

There are no at-home products or styling accessories which will produce long lasting, or permanent results. The only way you can get these kind of results is to go to a reputable salon and have it done by an experienced professional. I must emphasize this one thing though. And that is, if you choose to have it done in a salon, don't just walk into some random salon simply because they advertise the service, or will do it for a low price. Carefully choose a salon which has an excellent reputation, and has highly trained, experienced stylists working for them, especially those with experience and training in this method of straightening. If not, you could end up with badly damaged hair for a long time.

I would recommend Japenese Straightening. Its often referred to as Thermal Reconditioning. There are a few good product lines out there, most of which cause minimal damage to your hair when compared to other straightening methods. It is not a simple process at all. There are many steps involved in this type of straightening. One brand in particular that I am familiar with - probably the very best brand of them all - has 18 seperate steps in the process. Expect the entire process to take anywhere from two to eight hours, depending on the length and thickness of your hair. Oh, one other thing. This is NOT inexpensive by any means. For a top quality job, using the best products, expect the cost to run you upwards of $500. I know of a few salons that charge as much as $800. The cost depends on your hair - whether it is long, short, coarse, fine, etc. The cost can be determined only by an in-person consultation, and it varies for each person.

Hope this helps.
