i've never heard of this, can someone explain it to me? i've only heard of relaxing hair, and heat straightening.

Japanese hair straightening is a straightening process that is very advanced and causes hair little damage, compared to other straightening/relaxing processes. It's called "Japanese" hair straightening because the process was invented in Japan.
