The first thing would be to get a nice trim off the ends and well go out and get a deep conditioning treatment.. A hair straightening treatment will just fry it up and make it worse.. Trimming it often would be your best bet.

ahh, I did the same thing. I bought that crap from walmart because my hair has some wave to it and I was hoping doing that would prevent me from having to straighten it everyday.....WRONG!! it just fried my hair...
-get it trimmed up as much as you can
-if you use a straightner, use a heat protector
-all the hair stylists advised me on what products to use but they all sucked and left my hair feeling greasy.....neutrogenas deep daily conditioning and weekly maks works wonders!!!!
it took my hair (medium length) about 3 months to get back to normal.
