Straightening hair...then curling it....?

Okay so I have a problem that I really can not figure out. I have really puffy, fluffy, frizzy, curly and messy hair but I straighten it and I love it and everything is great. My question is how do I keep the sleak soft look but add some soft bouncy curls? If I could I would straighten to get the unfluffy look and then curl but the curls fall out after about an hour even with product. Anyone have any ideas or experiences?

I Know What You Mean Because I have Puffy Hair Too

I straighten my hair first.

My curl use to not stay and what I learned was that while I'm curling my straightened hair every time I'm going to curl a section I lightly spray it with a flat iron spray that can be used to straighten and curl that helps the curl stay and when I'm done I lightly spay a very little bit of hairspray.

Hope this helped.

They spray I use is FX Special Effects Flat Iron Spay it works really good and is only sold at Walgreens. It does a great job on the frizz and keeps my hair super smooth I use to have Matrix Sleek iron spray and that one can not compare to how great this one works. I also use this spray before I straighten my hair and I also use a leave in conditioner when my hair is damp, but the spray is meant for dry hair.

dont straight and curl the same part of the hair. then your hair will look relly relly dry. try products. and blow drying before you curl.

You can get hair curling products from a shop or chemist. This will help the curls to stay in longer, also it sometimes helps if you have slightly damp hair before you curl it so they last longer, or apply some mouse. Another thing you could try is when you have curled it put some hairspray on it.
