Its best if you can put some straightening lotion on before flat ironing. After ironong you could put on some serum or something. I am not sure what type of moisturizer you have, you dont want to put on anything too heavy after you have straightened your hair, it will make it limp.

No, use an oil like olive oil or just use a heat protectant spray i love mine by Nexxus.

no, get some heat defence (tresmie is the one i use, i like it) put it on b4 ur straiten it and it will burn the heat defence and not your hair

Yes for sure. First moisturize your hair and focus on your ends especially. Then apply a heat protector on top of the moisturizer. I use Redken Heat Glide because on top of protecting my hair from the heat, it smooths the frizzies down too!
