Is it bad to straighten your hair everyday?

I have naturally straight hair, but I still straighten it everyday. Its like just a quick go over. I know it is bad for your hair, but is it THAT bad? Is it worth buying heat protection?

Well i staighten them almost everyday, but some days i leave them naturel - (out of the shower kinda look) and i obviously think it's not good for my hair, but it doesn't even show it's being damaged by heat... i get complients for my hair everyday :D, i have never used heat protection but honestly, my friend has it and it just leaves her hair greasy, it will only damage your hair more.

yes. heat styling is VERY damaging to your hair. i'm guilty of it, but i use hot oil treatments weekly, and that helps out a lot!

If I were you i'd buy a thermal care product. There not that expensive ether, there only about 10-20$. Which isn't bad cuz you only need a little bit. I also sraten my hair every day and it got really bad because i wasn't using heat protecting, but as soon as i started using it my hair felt so much stronger and way less dry.

try just blow drying it or straightening it every other to every 3rd day

why dont u save up money and then get a pro straightener so that u will have to straighten your hair only once till the next hairwash.

Yes it's that bad. Say hello to dry, damaged, split ends. Yes it's well worth buying heat protector. I use Nexxus spray and I love it because when you spray the hair it is very light (almost like a mist) and it smells good. It's not sticky or greasy feeling.

No, it slightly damages your hair but use aprotectant and youll be fine. You won't go bald or anything. I know someone who has used irons on her haor wothout preotection for like 10 years amd she has lots of thin hairbut shes ok.:)

YES! i have super curly hair.......and i used to straighten it everyday....now my hair is so damaged....but because you do a once-over....its not That bad...but still buy some heat protection....condition your hair with moisturizing conditioners.

you need to buy heat protection to protect your hair from the heat, even if it is just a go over. my friend straightened her hair that much that it started splitting at the ends and then started to fall out.
