Is a fringe going to work with my straightened afro hair?

I'm mixed race and have coloured afro hair. I am due for a haircut soon and want to try something diffrerent. I straighten my hair with GHD's and never wear it natural. Would a fringe work with this kind of hair or would it be more trouble than it is worth?

I'm mix too and I find unless your hair is a weave fringes on afro hair never stay straight for long, I have tried myself and ended up clipping my fringe back for 5 months whilst it grew out!

Up to you though, you could try and it probably won't work or get a weave

As long as you always straighten it - it should be fine! At least the fringe will take less work to straighten as its shorter! If you do ever wear you hair naturally though you will have an extremely short fringe! My hair is super curly if not straightened so my fringe is cut long to suit straight or curly!
