How can I make my hair shinier and softer even if I straighten it?

What can I do or use to make my hair shinier and softer? It used to be very shiny %26amp; soft when I first dyed it a dark red.. but now, about 8 months later, my hair is dry and frizzy. I am planning on dying it a dark colour again very soon. Also, I straighten my hair about 2 times a week.

I use Herbal Essences Moisture shampoo %26amp; conditioner (the new blue bottle)

Do shine serums work well, and what are the best ones to use?

if you have a good straightener already, then thats good :]]

but if not, i suggest fhi or chi or jilbere, get tourmaline or ceramic!

i use the sunsilk thermashine, so whenever you blow dry ur hair, it becomes really really shiny!!

also i use the garnier fructise sleek%26amp;shine serum, it works great!!

Slather your hair in mayo. Leave it on for about an hour then wash it out. It is a great conditioner.
