After I straighten my hair it always smells... like a burnt kind of smell... and i understand why. Before I starighten I use a "miracle mist" product... does anyone know anything that can help stop the smell?

i had the same problem..its means you have the heat too high on your straightner. just lower it a notch or two. you might see a lot of split ends now on your hair because you have the heat setting so high. just lower it and you'll be fine

well, with it kinda wet with miracle mist... u are burnig ur hair... don't use as much as miracle mist or just lower the temp of ur straighter

I think the smell is natural;it happens to me aswell.Why dont you spray the mist after and before you use any heat product?Give it a try.Also, why dont you use hairdressing or moisterizers that have nice scents?Hope this helps...

I was going to say maybe your burning your hair, but than I read you are using a product before you straighten. I would switch to something else %26amp; see if that helps. I know Redken line really works well for me, they do have something for before you straighten. Not sure of the name.

I don't know how to stop the smell except lowering the temperature on your straightner. You should consider not straightening your hair so often, because it is making it dry and brittle. While in the shower, you should put in moisturizing conditioner after shampooing to try to restore it's volume and body.

If you are straightning your hair with a wet hair straightner then you are burning it. I would suggest haveing one for dry hair to or haveing it on the lowest setting or a setting for dry hair.

i have that problem too. i have the same straightener. you are using too many products on your hair and that plus the constant straightning is what is causing the oder. so pick your best most needed product that you use on your hair, keep is, and stop using the rest. that should help.

even though the mist came with the straightener doesnt mean its good so id leave the "miracle mist" out of it and try to make your hair completely dry whether its for wet hair as well.

I suggest you try some of thier catwalk products. It is important to add a product to your hair to protect it before flat ironing. If you don't you will have split ends and damage.

Oooh I used to have this problem a while back.. What I did to stop the smell was shampoo and condition my hair really good then I would let it dry completely then use it on a high setting. (But I have really thick hair so I would suggest putting it on a lower setting and maybe not use the Miracle Mist too much.) Well today I straightened my hair and it smells yummy. =P
