How much does it cost(in RUPEES) for Hair Straightening for men?

Also I would like to know how long its effective. Can it be done at home, without goin to the hair salon? Also pls suggest a few good sites which help try out virtual hair styles...

How much does it cost(in RUPEES) for Hair Straightening for men?

At first I thought you meant rupees like from the Legend of Zelda...

Anyways, for my brother it's usually about $80 or a bit under (I'm not sure about a "Virgin" relaxer, if you are talking about relaxers and not the tools).

Now assuming I've done this right, 3,144.80 rupees? I hope that it came out right and not too high or low.

http://www.hairstyle.com/ will pretty much give you some great insight.

Talking about a hair straightener like the tool, I use the Infiniti by Conair. It's great, I have annoyingly tight curls (half African-American) and you wouldn't even be able to tell after I use it!

Using a relaxer will usually last for about 8 weeks.

Purelology shampoo/conditioner is the best ever! Expensive, but well worth it. It has given me good hair days every day for two years. Before that, nothing worked completely, I always had frizz-curl break through during the day. Available in salons, on ebay and sometimes at Target. Good luck!

Is there something i can put on my hair after i straighten it to keep it straight?

Every time i straighten my hair, by the end of the day it looks like i just got out of bed. My hair is half wavy half straight. I dont want to invest in something really expensive.HELP!

Is there something i can put on my hair after i straighten it to keep it straight?

Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk. I'm pretty sure it's only like $4. And it stops your hair from getting all frizzy. I use it everyday and it works amazingly!!!

Is there something i can put on my hair after i straighten it to keep it straight?

spray a little hairspray over your whole head very lightly, before you straighten your hair.

after you're done straightening spray your whole head again really thoroughly to make sure everything is held.

brush your hair once through after that (to get rid of stickyness %26amp; stiffness) and put in an anti-frizz serum to smooth it down.

I want to get the japanese hair straightening?

What my question is after I get this done what can I wash my hair with? Any kind of shampoo %26amp; conditioner or does it have to be specific? If that is the case what are some of the names of them so I can buy them. Thank you.

I want to get the japanese hair straightening?

I got it done when I went to korea over the summer because its wayyy cheaper there. like only a hundred bucks. For a while, I just used this korean shampoo, but only because I liked the smell. But now i use dove and it seems fine. Make sure you get it done by a professional who knows what he/she is doing because i've heard bad stories about untrained professionals ruining peoples hair. I'll put some before/after pics in a minute.

*actually, the links don't work.

i forgot sorry :(

I want to get the japanese hair straightening?

Well, I'm not really sure what type of shampoo, I never got a japaneese straightening. nYou should go to a local beauty parlor and ask them. They're professionals. But, I do know a lot about hair. I don't know why you want to get it! It's really bad for your hair. Just appreciate your natural hair! Plzzzz! YOu'll thank me some day!

How can i protect my hair from getting ruined when i straighten it everyday?

i want to keep it smooth and shiny.how can i do that if i straighten my hair every day?

How can i protect my hair from getting ruined when i straighten it everyday?

You really shouldn't straighten your hair everyday...but try putting olive oil in your hair everyweekend and the washing it out later....after a few weeks you will really feel the difference! But whatever you do....don't apply moisturiser or any other chemicals...you might find that they make your hair frizzy....also grapeseed oil is good for your hair....you can get it at the body shop. nd eat lots of almonds.

How can i protect my hair from getting ruined when i straighten it everyday?

either buy a better straightener

or apply some product before

to help against the heat

How can i protect my hair from getting ruined when i straighten it everyday?

buy the correct shampoo, conditioners for hair and use minimum grease or hair styling spritz.(it pulls out your hair) Condition your hair at least three times a week. Take vitamin E daily. Good Luck

How can i protect my hair from getting ruined when i straighten it everyday?

The wonders of gell

but i can't stand it. makes my head itchy 24/7

How can i protect my hair from getting ruined when i straighten it everyday?

question do you have dry hair? And How? are you straightening it... For shiny hair. After shampooing hair put a little hair conditioning, and don't wash it out until the next day... when you do process again..

How can i protect my hair from getting ruined when i straighten it everyday?

Apply some Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide Serum to your hair before straightening. This will serve as a protective barrier. Don't over-use! A little goes a long way. Instructions can be found on this webpage.

How can i protect my hair from getting ruined when i straighten it everyday?

There is one product that I use everyday, whether I do my hair or not. It is Rusk sea-kelp lusterizer. This will keep your hair very healthy and nice and shiny. However, you don't really want to straighten your hair everyday with a flat iron. I would recommend experimenting with a blow-dryer and round brush. Done correctly, you can achieve the same results without causing as much damage to your hair, since the heat is not in direct contact with the hair strands. If you can master the round brush (it is difficult to get used to), you can straighten your hair just as well. You also reduce the amount of heat your hair comes in contact with if you blow-dry and then straighten. If you continue to straighten it everyday, I recommend going in to a salon that offers hair care products and asking a beautician the best product to use for your hair type. Professional products are honestly better than anything you can find at Wal-Mart. Good luck!

How can i protect my hair from getting ruined when i straighten it everyday?

Use a shampoo that repairs your hair to the fullest, I would suggest Avons "ADVANCE TECHNIQUES Intense Repair Hydrating Shampoo".

How can i protect my hair from getting ruined when i straighten it everyday?

I use Halo Heat Protection Mist, I have to buy it off line because is it sold in the UK but it works wonders! It protects from heat damage like nothing I've ever used before =)

How can i protect my hair from getting ruined when i straighten it everyday?

Use a ceramic straighting iron.

There are several ceramic straighting irons out in the market, the most popular being CHI. The ceramic heats up enough to do a wonderful job, but it will not ruin your hair.

I started using a ceramic iron about two years ago and it has made such a difference.

They are a little bit pricey, but they are so worth the investment.

Has anyone used the X-tenso hair straightening system?

I am thinking of having mine done in the next stage after 'dead straight' which lookes like a blow dry. Apparently leaves more body in the hair - would like some advice from anyone that's actually had it.

Has anyone used the X-tenso hair straightening system?

Too severe....can cause too much stress on the hair and it may fall out

Has anyone used the X-tenso hair straightening system?

It works brilliantly but it is expensive and you do have to get it re-done every 2 months or so. Only have it done if you have strong healthy hair that hasn't been bleached/coloured often.

Has anyone used the X-tenso hair straightening system?

nope

Has anyone used the X-tenso hair straightening system?

I've used Xtenso and it's brilliant. Years of curly hair and then straight, nice soft feeling hair. I have just (today) tried another type of straightener and am so sorry already. Can't wait for it to grow out or may get it cut. It's like straw and not nice.

Xtenso leaves your hair feeling soft and natural only straight and it's not permanent so when you get bored you can go curly or wavy again.

Hope that helps.

Has any one heard about "Rena", a Brazilian product to straighten your hair?

My mother lives in Venezuela, and she recently heard from a friend about this relatively "new" product to straighten your hair. In Spanish we call it "desrriz", it's basically a paste-like cream you place for a certain amount of time on your hair and it chemically reacts making it straighter. She says this one is petroleum based, but it is also like a dye, so it makes your hair straight as it dyes it a different color. She says it works wonders and it is also cheap, but that in Venezuela you can only find the "black color" one. Has any one heard about this product? Does any body know where to find it in the U.S.? Does any one know a website where you can buy it from? Has any one tried it themselves? Please let me know. Thank you.

Has any one heard about "Rena", a Brazilian product to straighten your hair?

I am Venezuela and I have tried Rena, it is good and it is not so new. I used it more than 6 months ago. There are two presentations one is gel, that turns your hair black. The other one is a powder that one is neutral for all kind of colors.

Has any one heard about "Rena", a Brazilian product to straighten your hair?

No but it sounds like a wonderful products which I would love to try! Reminds me of Loreal's Hot to Straight cream without the colour!

Has any one heard about "Rena", a Brazilian product to straighten your hair?

Even if it works you should probably wait a couple months or so before trying it yourself. New products almost always have kinks to work out. (forgive the pun)

Has any one heard about "Rena", a Brazilian product to straighten your hair?

i've heard of a chemical staightning [[japanese]

if its on the temporaly one i suggest you dont get it cuz it wears off pretty fast..

What are some good products to help straighten curly hair?

Its hard to straighten my curly, frizzy hair. By the next day its one big puff ball. help.

What are some good products to help straighten curly hair?

Pantene's line of hydriance curls really tames curls- but more recently I have used the "Aussie" line and they smell really great too.

What are some good products to help straighten curly hair?

I have the same issue. You can always use a chemical straightner or relaxer. I also use garnier products to help oil my hair and keep it from being dry.

What products should you use after you straighten your hair?

What products should you use after you straighten your hair? Like any sprays, gels or anything would be helpful and please post links where I can buy the products.

What products should you use after you straighten your hair?

I'm not sure what your hair colour is, but I love John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock. It's a hair gloss that I use on either blonde or brunette hair colours and it has so far been fantastic! You can buy it from Coles, Woolworths or pretty much any supermarket or chemist. I think it cost me about $12, maybe a little more??? Anyway, after straightning you get about a 10c piece on your hands and rub them together a little then smooth down from about your ears. Don't go any higher towards your roots because it can look greasy. Not much point doing all that straightning then ruining the look. I have pretty long hair, mid back, so if yours is shorter use a little less product. Well good luck and remember to keep all product away from the roots!!!

What products should you use after you straighten your hair?

don't put anyyy it ruins the hair after it's straitend.

Is there a way I can chemically straighten my hair without my having to get the roots redone every f

I want to be able to chemically straighten my hair so that it stays perfectly straight for a long time, but then gradually wears off altogether, instead of just at the roots.

Is there a way I can chemically straighten my hair without my having to get the roots redone every few months?

If you're black or mixed and have "ethnic" hair, a relaxer will do the main job of what you want. But as you know, when your roots grow out, you will need another relaxer retouch (depending on your hair, usually every 6 to 12 weeks). Even relaxers, though, will not give you PERFECTLY STRAIGHT HAIR. Many women still find the need to flat iron or blow dry their hair straight.

If you're caucasian or have naturally straighter hair, then you can also get a chemical straightener, but they're fairly expensive for the ones that get your hair really straight and maintain the hair's health (usually called japanese straighteners, but they can range upwards of 400-500 dollars and it's difficult to find cosmetologists who perform these services). Your regrowth will not need to be touched up as often as ethnic hair does, and the straightener will likely wear out a bit and some of the natural wave will come back to your hair (I used to get them).

Coloring your hair often will also wear the curl or wave out of your hair over several years time.

Is there a way I can chemically straighten my hair without my having to get the roots redone every few months?

Im not sure. I know that Boots do a Straightening Kit, but it is time consuming and you would need an extra hand.

You could also try and get a relaxing cream. Most salons will stock these types of products. think it would be good to have a chat with somebody in your local salon.

They would be able to help.

Is there a way I can chemically straighten my hair without my having to get the roots redone every few months?

It doesn't wear off the roots. You have roots because your hair is growing. So the answers to your question is no. Chemical straightener are applied to the existing hair on your head. They don't penetrate into the scalp and straighten hair that is not grown yet.

Is there a way I can chemically straighten my hair without my having to get the roots redone every few months?

try a texturizer

Is there a way I can chemically straighten my hair without my having to get the roots redone every few months?

No. The way the human body works, you would have to alter your genetic makeup to change the hair that hasn't even grown yet. Chemical straightening can only change the hair you have at the time of processing, so there is no way to get around touch ups. And your hair will still have to be heat styled in order to look straight. chemical straitening doesn't' save you from humidity either.

PS. Texturizer is for making curly hair slightly less curly. not straight.

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

I have it on the setting 28, and there's 30, it's highest to lowest and stuff, but it hasn't like, caught fire or anything, but it keeps smoking whenever it gets on my hair, but it stops after, like, a puff of smoke comes up after I straighten my hair, it's like it comes from my hair when my hair and my straightener meet, It isn't defected is it???

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

No not really mine youst to do that its because you have alot of humidity in your hair or the oils sometimes or sometimes it can because your hair is still wet!! good luck best thing would be to ask a hairstylist ;)

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

No it's okay. it's just burning any oils in you hair.

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

well duh.ur hair is getting burnrd

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

if you use anything like a gel or spray, that might be why it is smoking. Be sure to wash it( when it is off of course!)

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

Yes,I`d think something was definetly wrong. It could burn your hair badly. I think I`d switch hairdressers.

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

First things first, are you using Thermal Protectant? I hope so. Secondly, that thing you're using is crap, not to mention a hazzard. Toss it. Check out the ghd styling iron. Its awesome, maintains its heat by resetting itself 5 x's per second, and is backed by the company (you actually register your iron online).

www.ghdhair.com

GOOD LUCK!

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

Throw it away. I had a hair straigtener that caught on fire...luckily my hair didn't!

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

well is ur hair wet? because if it is you should not use it when it is wet unless it is recomended from ur straightner. i have a chi $200.00 straightner and it smokes when i stragihn it but i think it is ok.( it is profesinal) so go and find out about your straightnerso you dont worry.

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

I will have to say that if you want to avoid any fire STOP using it and get another one.If you want to keep using it you will be in danger, not to scare you but just to be sure go to a salon and get advice from someone that works with those kinda stuff everyday!Good Bye and Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

I don't believe that it is in fact smoke that you are seeing. Is your hair completely dry when you attempt to straighten it? If not, then it is probably a good amount of steam that you're seeing. When your hair releases that much moisture it is definately not good for it. There really isn't that much difference between one straghtener or the next. Everythings bad for your hair, even brushing it. I still straighten mine, just not every day.

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

When you straighten your hair be sure it's completely dry!!!

My mother is a hairdresser so I'm familiar with those things pretty much. And never use oils or gels before you straighten your hair, use them afterwards. And I don't thing that your hair straightener is broken. Just try cleaning it with a wet piece of cotton when it isn't heated.

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

yes it is bad. your hair will fall out in places. do not straighten your hair! why are you doing that anyway? get a good wide-toothed comb and let your hair grow into its own shape. this shape will be beautiful because it will fulfil the natural aesthetic of your whole being. detach from the petty time-wasting fashions of the moment, and attach your spirit to the cosmos through your scalp.

who send the messages that it is good to do business with the hair-straightener company? the hair-straightener company???

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

To answer your question, first of all don't panic, nothing is wrong with your flat iron. What happens is the product you put in your hair (grease, serum, hair spray) reacts with the heat and you get that smoking effect that you see. I work with them everyday so I know how they work.

Is it bad if my straightener keeps smoking whenever I straighten my hair???

this means that your setting is too high! you need to turn it down to about 10-15. it is smoking because it is to high for your hair to handle and your hair is getting burned. if it continues to smoke after you turn it down, get a new one because there might be something wrong with it also

good luck!!

Has anyone had a chemical hair straightening treatment with several problems afterwards??

I've had this treatment a year ago and from that day my hair's never been the same. its extremely fragile and its texture varies from extremely dry to oily and sticky.also my scalps been hurting me and feels uncomfortable ever since. has anyone had the same problems and if yes did they improve after some time???

Has anyone had a chemical hair straightening treatment with several problems afterwards??

Yes-and my hair went "microwaved",,,lol

use a leave in conditioner and Henna treatment wax,it is nearly as good as new-which took about 4 months x x

Hair breakage and falling out?

i used a bad flat iron to straighten my hair with NO protection for like 2 years. than my hair got thin, also prob cause i put a semi permanent hair dye in it 2. i used to have thick hair, plus my hair is naturally frizzy.. its wavy, but since its so frizzy, it looks like crap w/o anything. now its alot thinner, not like sickly thin, but much thinner than before. i cut it shorter, 2 regrow it, i have a chi straigthener and i use protection gel/spray that wrks good and i straighten it every once in a while, whenevr i straighten it , it looks good, AND when i wash it, not that much falls out. i mean some hair is gonna fall out, but not like tonns, normal u kno. but like wenever i wear it wavy/natural and put some gel/hairspray tonnss of hair falls out in the shower.. yet ppl tel me if i wanna regrow my hair that straightening is bad 4 it. i wear it in a clip w/ a bit of hairgel, but i lik wearin it down sometimes, so how should i wear it? wavy w/gel or straightner?

Hair breakage and falling out?

the reason you probably notice more hair fall out when you wash it when its wavy is that when the hair falls out when its wavy, its all looped around itself so it wont fall out onthe floor the couch wherever, only when you wash it or brush it those strands come out. when your straighten it, its silky so the strands slip out and fall out everywhere, no only in the shower, as they arent looped around eachother so it gives the illusion of less hairloss. neither process will cause baldness, only damage to your hair, as hair is dead, the only part that can make you bald is below your scalp, and you dont put gel or iron there, so anyone who tells you defferent is a liar. damaged hair breaks off short so the ends look this giving the illusion of hair loss, but it simply isnt the case. you can wear either, just be sure to ALWAYS use good protection and a good iron when wearing it straight. the curly gel look is less damaging, but if you straighten and use good hairproducts EVERYWHERE *conditioner is priceless to haircare* ironing often shouldnt be a problem. i iron my hair twice a week *only wash it twice a week* and its really healthy, its all about products. try skipping washes as much as possible. if it isnt dirty, dont wash it. of course wash it when its oily and smelly, but for most people that takes a few days to happen. youll notice a big difference in a few weeks by skipping the shampooing so often.

Hair breakage and falling out?

you can still have both hairstyles leave it natural and tie it up in a ponytail and on special occasions straighten it with your straighteners as long as you are using protection products there shouldn't be a problem anymore, every-bodies hair falls out i think it's about 100 strands a day so try not to worry.....

Hair breakage and falling out?

What iron are you using for your hair when you curl it?

Chi's are brilliant straighteners and that might be the reason when you use protection spray on it that your hair stays quite good.

Try using natural ways of achieving curly hair (ie. plaits, buns, scrunching...) it could make your hair look really nice and then you will have no problems about hair loss or anything.

If that doesn't work too well, try changing your hair curlers, to ceramic or professional.

Unless you're using your Chi's to curl your hair too, then the problem might be the fact when you curl your hair with straighteners it's pulls the hair quite a lot, and it dries out quicker than if you were to use curlers.

So either change your curling iron, or try natural ways of getting curly hair (:

if none of that works, go with straight hair, or have your hair done in a salon.

Good luck x

How long does it take you to straighten your hair with ghd's?

???

oh and another question

do they make you have less frizz once you straightened your hair

How long does it take you to straighten your hair with ghd's?

i use heat protection then straighten with ghds for 5-10 minutes my hair is just below my shoulders. its not very frizzy but i then use anti frizz serum

How long does it take you to straighten your hair with ghd's?

about 5-10 mins. No frizz with ghd's. I've got very thick wavy hair naturally so they are a miracle!

How long does it take you to straighten your hair with ghd's?

It depends on how thick your hair is. It only takes me about 10 minutes to do the whole head. Yes, they give you less frizz once you have straightened your hair, if you use anti frizz serum.

How long does it take you to straighten your hair with ghd's?

It really depends on how long your hair is and because they are really hot they make your hair more static than other branded straighteners! Don't spend too long straightening your hair with GHD's you may burn your hair!

How long does it take you to straighten your hair with ghd's?

It depends on whether your GHD's have blown up yet or not.

They take about 6 months to blow up :)

Hope this helped.

How long does it take you to straighten your hair with ghd's?

Hi it only takes about 5-10 mins as you have to clip it up and make sure you get it all straight, but you get no frizz whats so ever with GHDS as they are so hot they just get rid of it all. Other hair straighteners I have used dont get rid of the frizz at all but these do,

Plus it all depends on how long or short and how thick or thin your hair is. I have long thick hair and it only takes 10 mins to do from straight after srying so that good for me.

Also If you want to get poker straight hair then its best to get someone else to do it for you then you can see how really straight it will become with GHDS,

I would also recommend a heat protection spray too.

How long does it take you to straighten your hair with ghd's?

ghd straighteners are a god send - i have thick and natural curly hair. but straighten myt hair most days. use a protective cream and sections of hair and use the ghds

i usually do in about 20 minutes on first day

and second day is a bit less as the hair is straight

For gals with curly hair - Have you had bionic hair straightening?

I've been thinking about getting this done. It's kind of expensive, but it is supposed to last 6 months. I'm getting tired of spending an hour straigthening my hair several times a month.

For gals with curly hair - Have you had bionic hair straightening?

I myself did not get it done but my mother did and she said that it did not hurt. I do not know how long your hair is but her hair reaches her neck so the process was 3-4 hours long. However, it only lasted for about 2 months. It is supposed to last for at least 6 months so if you consider doing it, you might want to reasearch it more and make sure that whoever is going to do it has enough experience with it. My mother thinks that the person that did hers did not do it right, because it is supposed to last until your hair starts growing again so the roots will start growing in curly again. You are right it is expensive.

For gals with curly hair - Have you had bionic hair straightening?

And does it hurt?

For gals with curly hair - Have you had bionic hair straightening?

you are still going to have to straiten it, but its not going to take as long....the relaxer is just going to get it to a frizzy strait...

For gals with curly hair - Have you had bionic hair straightening?

I wouldn't spend your money on that. You need to spend your money on a good flat iron and some thermal hair protectant. I would suggest CHI ( flat iron brand) its about $130 but it really works and the CHI thermal spray protects your hair from the hight heat. You can buy both of these products from JC Penney salon. I flat Iron my hair every day and with the CHI iron it only takes me about 15 min. It has a hight heat so you can straighten bigger sections of har at one time. My hair is very long(past my bra in the back) and it still only takes me a little while to iron.

For gals with curly hair - Have you had bionic hair straightening?

Embrace your curlies! I love my curly hair!

You just have to find the right products to

Japanese straightening - the aftermath?

I got my hair permanently straightened Sunday afternoon. I was very happy with the results, it looked perfect.

I was told to wait 3 days to wash it, and I waited 4 (washed it this afternoon). After drying, I noticed some of the natural wave in my hair coming back out, which is very disappointing and frustrating for me, since I paid so much money and went to an upscale salon to have this done. I really wanted to get rid of the wave and have "wash 'n go" hair, but if my hair is going to keep drying like this, that's not possible.

My question is, is this kind of permanent straightening meant to come out perfect, or will I always need to flat iron it to get the waves out? What can be done to fix the leftover wave, if anything? What went wrong?

Grrr. =(

Japanese straightening - the aftermath?

There is not perfect solution to keep your hair absolutely straight. Even women with fine straight hair often have kinks it because that is the nature of hair. It absorbs moisture and will often times become wavy. I would go to the salon and ask them to redo it but be aware that it is damaging to your hair.

Japanese straightening - the aftermath?

go back to the salon and complain thats not fair to you as a customer

Japanese straightening - the aftermath?

GO BACK TO THE SALON!!!!!

Japanese straightening - the aftermath?

Well I got a Japanese perm..its not like the average perm.

Mine stayed in for a month absolutly straight but know its becoming pretty curly. But the only bad thing is that they had to do it about 3 times to make it work. lol

I think that you should go back to the salon and make them look at your hair again!

After curling my hair at the salon how long do i have to wait to straighten my hair back?

i have these curls for 3 months already and

i really needed to straighten it back right away knowing that it wont be damaged or somewhat ruin my hair...

After curling my hair at the salon how long do i have to wait to straighten my hair back?

If your hair isn't damaged then now is fine, or if you want to somewhat prevent damage get Texture twist by Purology or any kind of pomade or styling product (excluding gel and hair spray) and run that through your hair just so its in there and you aren't completely putting heat on your hair. The product will create a little bit of a barrier with a little bit of protection.

After curling my hair at the salon how long do i have to wait to straighten my hair back?

If your hair is healthy, anytime is good.

Is there a difference between blowdrying to DRY your hair, and blowdrying to STRAIGHTEN your hair?

Just wanna know .

If people say that the hair straightener (even a good GHD one) is a bad as blowdrying your hair, do they mean when you straighten with the blowdryer?

Because I just dry my hair with the blowdryer occasionally, and im worried that its bad that i do .. because supposedly blowdrying is as bad as hairstraightening!

And im confuzzled.

Is there a difference between blowdrying to DRY your hair, and blowdrying to STRAIGHTEN your hair?

Hair straightening applies more heat to your hair causing it to damage much faster

Is there a difference between blowdrying to DRY your hair, and blowdrying to STRAIGHTEN your hair?

to an extent it is, because no matter what, you're adding heat to your hair. Using a hair straitner is the worst because it get's the hottest. Straitning your hair with a hair dryer is the second worst because when you use a dryer and a brush, the dryer has direct contact with the hair. Lastly, is just drying you hair with a hair dryer.

Is there a difference between blowdrying to DRY your hair, and blowdrying to STRAIGHTEN your hair?

Well Straightening your hair with a blow dryer damages your your hair just as much as if you are just blow drying your hair to get it dry. However straightening your hair with a straightener [no matter how nice, or expensive] is much worse because your hair is coming in contact with direct heat =( thats where the saying "beauty comes with a price" comes into play. Hope I helped ;)

Is there a difference between blowdrying to DRY your hair, and blowdrying to STRAIGHTEN your hair?

They are referring to heat damage .That means with all hot tools. Yes it's just as bad. But I wouldn't worry unless you are doing it more that once a day, or holding the dryer too close to your hair or blow drying while your hair is dripping wet.

Is there a difference between blowdrying to DRY your hair, and blowdrying to STRAIGHTEN your hair?

Apply a leave in conditioner while it is wet. Also there are moisturizing hair products. I like John Frieda. As long as you add moisture before you blow dry/straighten it won't damage it so much, especially if it's only occasionally. If you have steam come from your hair, your doing it right.

Also, avoid products that contain alcohol. They dry your hair out.

Is there a difference between blowdrying to DRY your hair, and blowdrying to STRAIGHTEN your hair?

All heating tools --hand dryers ,curling irons ,hot combs, flat irons--damage your hair especially if you use them on a regular basis

Is there a difference between blowdrying to DRY your hair, and blowdrying to STRAIGHTEN your hair?

Always when you are going to use heat on your hair use some kind of product designed to protect your hair from the heats damage, especially if you use a straightener. When you blowdry to straighten you use a round brush so yes there is a difference in drying to straighten or to dry the hair.

What r some good hair straightening techniques???

my hair straghtens but the ends always curl under

What r some good hair straightening techniques???

Before blowing it dry add frizz ease to the ends (weighs the hair down) and spray with a leave in conditioner (also weighs hair down). Using a hair straighter will keep it straighter longer. Keep away from humidity.

All of the moisture from the products help keep humidity in the air from absorbing and causing it to curl. Plus it looks shiny and flowing.

What r some good hair straightening techniques???

do it in layers

What r some good hair straightening techniques???

you need to get some bio silk to put on your hair before your straighten it... then but some kinda of hair wax on it but just rub it in your palm real light and run your hand through your hair and then straighten it... good luck!

What r some good hair straightening techniques???

Pull your hair up into thin layers. It helps for better straighting.

What r some good hair straightening techniques???

take smaller sub-sections, no larger than on half inch and go slower when gliding down the hair shaft. If you still need more help, then use a straightening serum and shine serum mixed together before you blowdry.

What r some good hair straightening techniques???

flat iron! I have the same problem, except the ends of mine curl out. I have a el cheapo Vidal Sassoon flat iron, turn it on then blow dry your hair, do your makeup (I usually wait for it to heat up about 30 mins) then start at the top and go slow all the way down! flat Irons are the best!

What r some good hair straightening techniques???

just make sure that before you straighten it ists totally brushed out and dry. then clip up the top layer, straighten one piece at a time. then do the next layer...so on... then after you do that hairspray it, wait for it to dry, then brush it with a comb! then your beautiful!

What r some good hair straightening techniques???

If your hair is really unruly use align 12 ultra straightening by Redken. It will leave your hair shiny and it will also make the straightening process easy. If it isn't that unruly use straight 05 straightening balm by redken it won't be as strong as the align 12 but if your hair isn't that unruly you should use this one. It will also leave your hair shiny. These products also help protect your hair from some heat that may be applied in the straightening process. I would also use smooth down by redken for shampoo and conditioner. This may cost a little more then department store products but it will make a huge difference in your hair care. It is also a lot more concentrated, so it will last longer then most. Good Luck

What r some good hair straightening techniques???

Use a straightener.

I'm african american and have shoulder-height hair but i heard you cant to the treatment on african americans in that true? And where can I find some salons in las vegas that can do the treatment? Is it also possible for and 12 year or 11 year old to do the treatment?

African Americans with Japanese hair straightening?

Huh... ? That made no sense re-write that please.

African Americans with Japanese hair straightening?

yes this is true african americans can not get the treatment. no salon will perform this procedure on an african american or an 11 or 12 year old.

How well does professional hair straightening work?

I have very thick hair that frizzes. How long does a staightening last? How much does it cost? Would you reccommend it?

How well does professional hair straightening work?

My friend had her very, VERY coarse wavy hair straightened by some sort of ionic straightening process, which is apparently completely different from the old chemical relaxing process. It was amazing, her hair was pin straight and softer than ever, and she only needed it done like once a year, for the new growth. But it was pretty expensive, like in the hundreds of dollars range.

How well does professional hair straightening work?

have heard its really good! i am considering having it done too

How well does professional hair straightening work?

Well...they're pretty expensive, or so I've heard. I have heard that they will only last a couple of days-maybe one week if your even lucky. I wouldn't recommend it, because your hair will is being fried practically and I think that spending over $15 or $20 for that is just a waste of money.

Use Frizzies, I heard that stuff helps. :)

How well does professional hair straightening work?

It works great, but as your hair grows you have to get the roots touched up, just like in coloring your hair. Cost depends on how much hair you have and where you get it done...

How well does professional hair straightening work?

It is good, but as your hair grows out, then the roots will make it really fluffy. You will have to use a flat iron on the roots until you can get it redone.

How well does professional hair straightening work?

I had mine done right after my daughter was born. I had mine done at fantastic sams. As far as the price goes it depends how much chemical it takes i.e. how long and thick your hair is. If you decide to get it done, the only way it will STAY straight, you have to blow dry it. and sometimes you have to use a straight iron. You have to get it redone every year or so because of new growth.

How well does professional hair straightening work?

I'm a hairstylist and I can tell you that the cost will depend on the length and amount of hair you have, since it is a very time consuming process. It will probably be at least $300 and go up from there. It lasts permanently, but you will have regrowth to keep up with every couple of months just like with haircolor. A really good thing you might try is the Tourmaline Wet Dry Iron. It drys as it straightens and works great. It retails for around $200 but you can find them on Ebay for less than that.

How well does professional hair straightening work?

it does work. and for me the straightening lasted 2-3 months...and as for cost, that depends on where u get it straightened and the length of ur hair. when i got mine straightened for the first time it cost me only $50 because my sis-in-law used to work at a salon and had a friend that did the straightening.the second time it cost $150 but before when my hair was longer then my shoulders it cost $400.i would recommend it IF u can go 3 days withought washing ur hair and have to be mindful that its not folded or bended in any way or ur hair will stay like that. also, because the straightening is using chemicals its kills the crap out of ur hair. my ends are strarting to fry!!! =[ . and i havent experienced it but ive seen people who went in and got their hair straightend and now their hair looks like a frizz ball!!! it was worse then when they came in. but i think thats rare so no worries!!! if ur ok with the possible conseqences and u got the money then go for it!!!

heres some pics of me:

before:

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b46/ef...

after i got it straightened: http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b46/ef...

now [two months later]: http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b46/ef...

How well does professional hair straightening work?

You should get a CHI thermal straightener. It is kind of expensive, depending on where you are, but around $200-$300.That is the only one that I would recommend. But you have to be sure that the person who does it is experienced in that, because if not, then you will have a problem. I think it is the best one out today. Good Luck!

Will my face look fatter if i straighten my hair?

i have VERY curly hair that breaks %26amp; takes hrs to comb. it doesn't respond to a flatiron so i havent seen it straight. i have the opportunity to get it permanently straightened. should i, because i'm not sure it will look good, but i cant deal with it as is?

Will my face look fatter if i straighten my hair?

As long as the hair doesn't look like it's sticking to your face, it's alright. Just make sure it's straight, and maybe go for some light waves too.

Will my face look fatter if i straighten my hair?

I think that it would look great, I have really straight hair and I love it... I was a little late but I still hope it helps :) Report It

Will my face look fatter if i straighten my hair?

straighten your hair will make your face look fat [if you have round face] but if you know how to keep the volume for it, it'll look great.

im talking about teasing your hair to keep the volume

take a look at this first, it'll help you

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZ0PtX-cL...

it worked for me really well

Will my face look fatter if i straighten my hair?

yes but its up to you.

Will my face look fatter if i straighten my hair?

Have you tried getting it flat ironed at a salon? Usually they have stronger flat irons that work better than the general store bought ones? I don't think straight or curly hair is what makes faces look chubby or not. It depends on the length of your hair. If you have a round face you don't want short hair- you want long so it makes your face appear longer.

Will my face look fatter if i straighten my hair?

normally straighter hair makes your face look longer.

Will my face look fatter if i straighten my hair?

Actually........ if you straighten your hair it will make your face look thinner !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will my face look fatter if i straighten my hair?

Okay, what I'd do is go to a reputable hair salon and get an expert opinion. I would pay to get my hair blown out and see how I like it. It really is better if you test it before you do some permanent damage.

Also, I had the same problem straightening my hair, until I gave in and spent a $100+ on a SEDU straightening hair iron! Takes less than an hour to do now. Good luck!

Will my face look fatter if i straighten my hair?

If you would rather have straight hair, than you should. It sounds like to me that you aren't happy with the work that goes into curly hair. I wish I had naturally straight hair, but I don't anymore, because it is a lot less work. Now whether I think your face will look fatter, I don't know. Personally I don't think it will. But for people who have never met you, they would notice your face before they would your hair, as opposed to the VERY curly hair. Good luck with your decision.

I want my hair to be straight all day tmmw...if i straighten it tmmw mornign will it stay?

im going out tmmw at around 5-ish and im going straight from school...so if i wake up really early tmmw and straighten my hair dead straight..will it stay straight til 5? how can i prevent it from going all wavy? hairspray?

I want my hair to be straight all day tmmw...if i straighten it tmmw mornign will it stay?

This is what I do to make sure my hair stays straight the whole day. After I wash it, I'll blow dry it straight, then I use this matrix sleek spray to protect my hair from the heat of a straightening iron

http://www.matrix.com/products/sleek_loo...

and then I straighten it, and then I put a straightening cream on. I know it's kind of elaborate, but you can do without the products for tomorrow. When you get a chance to buy some of the matrix prodcuts, they only help your stay straight longer!

I want my hair to be straight all day tmmw...if i straighten it tmmw mornign will it stay?

Same question here. I try to use everything to keep it straight but it doesnt seem like anything works.

I want my hair to be straight all day tmmw...if i straighten it tmmw mornign will it stay?

if your hair is frizzy just wash and condition it with sun silk anti frizz but yes it will stay if you sleep with a satin pillow or satin hair cap

I want my hair to be straight all day tmmw...if i straighten it tmmw mornign will it stay?

Just use the right products, If yours dont do the job. Read up on new ones that will and go out and buy them. Or figure out new ways to use your products. o.o

I want my hair to be straight all day tmmw...if i straighten it tmmw mornign will it stay?

Hairspray won't work because it is a wet product and will make your hair not straight anymore. If you straighten it really well, it should stay straight. I live in a dry state though, if you live in humidity, it might not be so easy.

I want my hair to be straight all day tmmw...if i straighten it tmmw mornign will it stay?

Use a straightening serum. You can go to target and buy a bottle of Frizz-ease for around $6.50. Apply it to your hair when it is soaking wet and blowdry your hair straight with a paddle brush. If it is still not straight after it is totally dry, then you can use a hair straightener.

I want my hair to be straight all day tmmw...if i straighten it tmmw mornign will it stay?

You might want to try this.Straighten your hair, then use Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Pin Straight moose. Rub it all through your hair, and don't scruch your hair while doing it. In stead, while putting on the moose, lightly pull your hair down ward, that will make your hair straighter. Finish off with a misting of Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Flat-Out finishing spray.

The Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight products work great!

I hope this helped!

I want my hair to be straight all day tmmw...if i straighten it tmmw mornign will it stay?

use straightnign serum then straigthen at night and then in the morning redo it and put a little bit of shine serum on it and it should stay all day unless ur hair is really curly.

Which is better in hair straightening?

Hi and I am on the hunt for a 20 dollar or less hair straightner from Wal-Mart! So far I ran across the Andis electronic one and the white Revlon one with gold plates! Which is better? And does anyone what the estimated price is for either 2?? Please helop because I dont enjoy going and returning them anymore !!

Which is better in hair straightening?

Just buy any one that says ceramic it doesn't matter which brand it is as long as it is ceramic it shouldn't break!

Which is better in hair straightening?

CHI is the best but for 20 dollars or less I would use Gold n hot!

Which is better in hair straightening?

I have the white revlon one and a smaller one thats black by revlon and they both are great...especially the white one because it has different degrees on it. My opinion though.

Which is better in hair straightening?

i personally like the hairdryer straighteners

conair and vidal sassoon make them

there "styler dryers"

http://www.conair.com/product_info.php?p...

use the brush attachment..it works well (i have thick *** hair thats curly/wavy)

Which is better in hair straightening?

i honestly don't know about either of those, but i use "Hot Tools" and i like it. you can get a non-ceramic one off the internet for about 20-something bucks.

Which is better in hair straightening?

Well I think I know which Revlon one you're talking about. I had it and it was pretty good. But not as good as my black Revlon one. Don't know about your other choice.

Which is better in hair straightening?

I have the Revlon gold-plated and I love it! It's lasted me about a year already, and is very dependable in ridding my hair of unwanted waves and frizz. I definitely bought it for about $20 and I highly recommend that you do as well!

Which is better in hair straightening?

the Revlon white and black ones are the big ones right well the last time i went to the salon and lady said that the big ones r totally unnecessary it doesn't work as well as the little one and the small one gets to the roots easier so definitely go for that

Which is better in hair straightening?

I suggest you go to a salon to have it done I'm a stylist and so many things can go wrong please be carefull

What's the best hair straightening spray out there, ladies?

I'm a male with long hair. I've been using Ion's iron spray from Sally's but I hate having to buy it from there b/c I feel like such a girl when I go in that place.

Also, I hear that you should always use something w/o alcohol and w/ silicon.

So, which one is that best?

What's the best hair straightening spray out there, ladies?

theres a spray that straightens your hair???? i want some!!!

lol

What's the best hair straightening spray out there, ladies?

wat u r using is great....dnt wrry bout wat people think...look good

What's the best hair straightening spray out there, ladies?

MATRIX VAVOOM GOLD HEAT STRAIGHTENING SPRAY

AMAZING! MAKES YOUR HAIR SOFT AND SHINY!!!!

What's the best hair straightening spray out there, ladies?

I use Nexxus...great but a little pricey but well worth it. You don't have to feel like a girl at Sally's. Just think of it as if you are buying the best products for your hair. It's not like you are going to Sephora to buy your stuff lol. Oddly enough I don't like to go to Sally's by my house because the people that work there are a bit weird and it's so small.

What's the best hair straightening spray out there, ladies?

I am a guy also and i desire straight hair so I use tigi's bead head control freak extra extra straight. It does it's job, only it makes your hair hard like hairspray if you use to much. Spray it on your hair after you get out of the shower so it dries in with it.

If its still not straight get Sunsilk straighten up trio. I also use a flat iron but that's just me

How do i keep the ends of my hair completely straight when i straighten my hair?

well....whenever i straighten my hair the ends never stay straight..what should i do?should i buy a new straightener or is there any tips someone could give me?cuz after like 6/10 mins the ends of my hair have flicks in them mainly my hair at the front..i would appreciate it if u could help me thank you x

How do i keep the ends of my hair completely straight when i straighten my hair?

i used to have this problem and i have ghd straighteners it might be the same reason as me if you have middle length hair then the front rests on your shoulders and tend to make it flick out a little if so then dont worry it wont happen for long wait for your hair to grow but if its not the reason then i suggest you buy new straighteners

How do i keep the ends of my hair completely straight when i straighten my hair?

Buy a better quality hair straightener.

How do i keep the ends of my hair completely straight when i straighten my hair?

put some cuum in it

How do i keep the ends of my hair completely straight when i straighten my hair?

I use a 2 inch Chi and I dont have any problems with keeping my ends straight. It sounds like you should invest in a better straightner.

How do i keep the ends of my hair completely straight when i straighten my hair?

That one is tough. One reason that you might be having problems could be that you have damaged your hair straightening it all the time. First, I would invest in some supremo conditioner (but be careful not to use one that is too heavy for your hair; it'll just look lankey or greasey), and then in a finishing product to help with keeping hair straight and smooth, concentrating on your tips. Or you just might want to have your hair trimmed at bit on the ends.

If none of these things help with the wispy ends then you may want to upgrade to a higher quality straightener. I like the Chi, but it can do serious damage to your hair if you don't take steps to protect it before styling, so be careful!

How do i keep the ends of my hair completely straight when i straighten my hair?

By adding a moisturizing lotion to your hair while strengthen it.

You can use Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizing Lotion

probably sunsilk straightening balm in a purple straightening bottle.

Its super super cheap

I think i got my bottle for about 4-5 dollars. It works really well.

What im using right now is lacoupe flat iron spray, i think i got it from zellers for 6 dollars. It works awsome! i flat iron my hair everyday, so i need something good as well- and not too too expensive.

I think once i have some extra money ill buy the chi flat iron spray, its about 13.50$ but i heard that it can help any hair go pin straight

How do i keep my hair straight (after i straighten it) all day?

I will straighten my hair for school and it will look good for the beginning of the day and then it will start to curve in a little. It drives me crazy! I need tips... that work.

How do i keep my hair straight (after i straighten it) all day?

well im not to sure of your hair type eg oily, dry, frizzy etc but i do know that i have the same problem and to stop it from frizzing up or curling under, i straighten it and then i run a VO5 spray through it...its called Extreme Hold Freeze Spray.

I spray it on the outside of my hair and then i spray some on my hands and run it through.

It works for me!

I hope i was of some help!

How do i keep my hair straight (after i straighten it) all day?

Get a ghd straightner no othr straigtner has ever worked for me but i got a ghd and i straighten ot and it stays straight until i wash it again.

How do i keep my hair straight (after i straighten it) all day?

umm what evr you do dont put it in pony tail b-4 u go to bed

How do i keep my hair straight (after i straighten it) all day?

I Think that you should at least keep it in a pony tail or a bun or something like really simple so if i curves or something you wont have to worry. you still also have to straighten your hair before you do that (If you want to!)

How do i keep my hair straight (after i straighten it) all day?

get a srtighting cream that works really well and carry a comb with you when hair gets tangeled it also starts to curve in

How do i keep my hair straight (after i straighten it) all day?

Never touch your hair after straightening it. Because your hands are always warm and a bit oily, it will always tend to make the strands back to way it is before. We are tempted to touch it, but you shouldn't. Same thing after curling you hair. The trick to getting it through the day is not to tease or fidget with it.

What to use for frizzy hair? Which is safer: Blow dryer or straightener?

I use a blow dryer and those round hair brushes to straighten my hair. I have frizzed my hair pretty badly. The little hairs at the top stick out like antenna %26gt;_%26lt;. I was wondering, how can I heal this frizz without going cold turkey. Any good products to fix this frizz? Quickly?

Also, I touch the blow dryer to my hair (for straightening purposes). Is this worse than using a tourmaline ceramic straightener? Please suggest things you KNOW shall work please.

What to use for frizzy hair? Which is safer: Blow dryer or straightener?

Use garnier anti frizz serum and I put the blow dryer right on peoples hair too. You should use a heat protectant like chi's heat protecting spray. Neither a Blow dryer or straightener is good for your hair. But If your going to flat iron you might as well dry your hair on cool or let it air dry. Good luck. Maybe you should give all heat a break and focus on conditioning your hair to restore it. Please add me to your contacts and email me w/ any hair questions you have via yahoo answers.

What to use for frizzy hair? Which is safer: Blow dryer or straightener?

try B%26amp;B Moustririzing Oil (it's in a pink %26amp; white bottle) 4 the frizz...well i use a blow dryer %26amp; straightner...it's probably safer that way b/c put the blow dryer so close to ur hair can be damaging.

What to use for frizzy hair? Which is safer: Blow dryer or straightener?

do not touch the blow dryer to your hair...thats worse. but the blow dryer is safer....just use it on its lowest setting...and use it like 5 inhes away...and then when your done....go over it with a straightner..and it shouldnt be hard to straight. also for flyaways like the way u describe...when your done..spray some hairspray on your brush..and then comb it through.

What to use for frizzy hair? Which is safer: Blow dryer or straightener?

I have frizzy hair to and what i do is after i wash my hair i get my round brush blow dryer and ceramic straightener and first i divide my hair in sections and get the blow dryer to straighten and dry it. then i divide my hair again and flatten it with an iron then when i finish i brush it and put a little of biosilk on it.

What to use for frizzy hair? Which is safer: Blow dryer or straightener?

When you use the blow drier to an already frizzy hair it gets worse! The hair will thin down and get frizzier! You have to give your hair good treatments before you go for those blow driers or even straightners!! For instant relief after you have set your hair, touch the tips of the hair with your finger tips which have been oiled. Do not use too heavy oils, look for mild oils like cold pressed olive oil or even jojoba which is excellent for damaged hair. Make sure your fingertips are not really soaked with oil. Touch the tips of the frizzy hair after you have finished drying the hair. Woahlah see the results when your hair will shine and does not look so frizzy!!! All the best and enjoy.

What to use for frizzy hair? Which is safer: Blow dryer or straightener?

blo dryers almost always get your hair frizzy, try towel drying it then brushing it with a wide toothed comb, instead of a brush. brushes pull and break your hair when its wet cuz its weeker. also in walmart in the shampoo aisle, theres special herbal essences no more frizz shampoo and conditioner and theres serum to just apply to your hair and done...good luck

Where is the best permanent hair straightening hair salon?

i really want to straghten my hair but i neeed a good place to go to were do i go?

please tell me were it is and how much it cost

Where is the best permanent hair straightening hair salon?

You could try an Aveda salon. Go to aveda.com, and go to the very top where it says "find a location". Put in your zip code, and some salons in your area will come up. Their numbers are shown there too, so you can call and ask what their prices are.

I have curly hair and I straighten it. Any ideas of how I can keep it straight overnight/daytime?

I have VERY thick and curly hair. Its nice once in a while but when I go to straighten it SOMETIMES it gets frizzy and other times its perfect. My question is though, does anyone have any tips on how I can keep my hair straight at night and throughout the daytime? I use V05 MIRACLE! spray on my hair before I straighten it but thats basically it. Thanks so much!

I have curly hair and I straighten it. Any ideas of how I can keep it straight overnight/daytime?

Put hairspray on it before and after you straighter in and then run a brush through it. It makes hair easier to straighter and it keeps it from getting as frizzy.

Try some of Paul Mitchell's super skinny, a dab will do, or Redken's smooth down product line. It is worth spending the extra money, it goes further and makes your hair look better. Use a mousse, let air dry and then straighten, it will help to keep it straight, you can blow dry with a diffuser but it will be more difficult to tame the frizzies.

Why don't you try a mouse or gel for curly hair? Loreal Paris Studio-line springing curls mouse is good. I think curly hair is cooler than wavy hair, well I hoped this helped!

I have curly hair and I straighten it. Any ideas of how I can keep it straight overnight/daytime?

i have pretty thick, wavy hair and i have to pull back most of my hair and straighten one part and then let down some more hair and straighten it, and then keep doing that. allso to make it stay stright i sometimes have to strighten it at night and then in the morning to.

I have curly hair and I straighten it. Any ideas of how I can keep it straight overnight/daytime?

there are certain hair products that can help:

Sunsilk

Aussie

Garnier

maybe Tresseme

when you buy the sprays or bottles, you should look on the bottle if it says something like, "seriously straight" or something like that. sunsilk is higly recommended.

I have heard of chemically straightening your hair and the when its starts growing out to use a ceramic hot iron on the roots. This procedure has been used successfully as far as I know and although expensive well worth all the bother at the end of the day.

Girls only, hair question, for people who have done this multiple times.?

okay, i have curly hair and i often straighten it. but it always goes frizzy. i use herbal essences shampoos, conditioners, and straightening moose. first i get a shower using the shampoos and ect. then i put the moose in and blow dry my hair and straighten it right after. does anyone know a better way with better products thats arent real pricy but work good??? my friends say aveda but i dont know what kind of products by aveda. also you could give me a site that tells me what to do. thanks a ton

Girls only, hair question, for people who have done this multiple times.?

Firstly, dont blow dry your hair then straighten it because that is applying too much heat to your hair at once and will damage it and make it go a bit strawy and after time will really damage your hair, and that could be part of the problem of why it is frizzy because when you straighten it it makes your hair static, especially if you brush it a lot and will make your hair all stick out. Secondly... putting lots of chemicals in your hair isnt that good, especially lots of conditioner which makes your hair go greasy quickly and mousse which isnt good for your hair atall. Try going to a professional hair dressers and ask which brands or techniques they would suggest, they are the experts. I would suggest treseme which is a really good brand and isnt a bad price for the amount you get and the effect it has! Really hope this helps :)

Girls only, hair question, for people who have done this multiple times.?

get herbal essences strainer

Girls only, hair question, for people who have done this multiple times.?

i dnt no but i hav the same problem i hav tried loads off different shampoos and conditioners but none r effective!

Girls only, hair question, for people who have done this multiple times.?

after showering and straightening your hair, instead of a moose, try TRESemme Smooth No Frizz European Shine Spray. It does wonders, believe me.

this is what it looks like:

and it smells good too!

Girls only, hair question, for people who have done this multiple times.?

get the sunsilk strightening shampoo.

Girls only, hair question, for people who have done this multiple times.?

I have short curly hair and i find blow drying is the cause of the frizz. Instead, try letting your hair dry naturally with no moose. Then apply a heat protectant before straightening your hair. Then i use a light hairspray to keep the hair straight all day. Keep in mind that blow drying damages your hair, thats why it frizzes. Also, instead of using a website to tell you how to style your hair go into a salon and ask. The stylist will do your hair and explain how to do it at home.

Girls only, hair question, for people who have done this multiple times.?

I use Hairapy De-Frizzé–ł?br>

http://www.startsampling.com/sm/19381/im...

that is what the bottles look like - they are pretty cheap...

You put it in while your hair is Wet. Don't put too much on the top, because like most de-frizzers it will make your hair look a little bit greasy =]]

Girls only, hair question, for people who have done this multiple times.?

ok now what i use is mourisure shampoo. go to google and type in that trust me my hair is soooo silky. Go use it u can thank me later

Girls only, hair question, for people who have done this multiple times.?

neutrogena shampoo anti residue formula. it takes out all the residue in yr hair from other shampoos, condtioners and other products that leave it behind. u use it once a week, and it will help yr fav shampoo work better(friz control). it is about $6-10 depends where u get it, now it isnt that much because it last a while since u only use it once a week. and i have curly hair too and need 2 straighten it a lot, but i dont get frizzy hair any more since this product. http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...

Girls only, hair question, for people who have done this multiple times.?

A hairdresser told me to use an old t shirt or pillowcase instead of a towel to pat my hair dry. It's less rough on the hair shaft than a towel. Then I mousse (finesse works for me), then I blow dry at a medium setting with a flat paddle brush. Once it is dry, I stroke ThermaSilk conditioning cream into my hair lightly, then use the straightening iron. I stroke a little more into my hair (by this I mean I rub a small amount into my palms until there isn't any globs on my palms, then lightly smooth my hair with the palms) to stop flyaways. It works for me! Good luck!

Girls only, hair question, for people who have done this multiple times.?

use biosilk

Girls only, hair question, for people who have done this multiple times.?

My hair is naturally thick wavy and frizzy so I feel ur pain! FIRST.. get a hair cut or trim to get all your split ends off. I also use the herbal essenses dangerously straight shampoos and conditioners. Then after my shower I put in John Frieda frizz ease serum thermal protection formula (generously) and i blow-dry using my vidal sassoon ionic dryer w/ a diffuser, and i use a straightening brush. You can get one at walmart for like 5 bucks. It looks kinda like a straightener w/ bristles inside. Before I flat iron i spray sunsilk therma-shine on my hair. After i flat iron i spray garnier fructis shine spray, and then i go over my hair w/ the straightener again. Then i spray my brush w/ hairspray and brush through. The result is sleek and straight hair =). During the day to calm frizz it helps to spray a little hairspray on your palm and smooth over your hair. Hope i helped. Also once a week you should use a hot oil treatment or deep conditioner

What are some hair straightening tips?

my hair is frizzy but not nappy. i was wondering how i could make it flatter and softer rather than puffy without making it look fake. are there any special treatments, creams, gels, etc.?

What are some hair straightening tips?

You could get your hair chemically straightened at a salon, but it will be kind of expensive.

Another option is to use a straigtening balm. Many different brands carry this, and you can buy them at salons, drug stores, walmart, etc.

This site gives you a list of popular straightening balms (scroll down a little... under the 'shopping' link):

http://www.ehow.com/buy_13188_straighten...

I am assuming you're a guy because of your name, but the person above me thinks you are a chick. Don't use gel!!

What are some hair straightening tips?

spritz it with L.A. gel or go to a local health food store (natural products always work.) BUT DO NOT STRAIGHTEN IT! usually the hair texture a women is born with makes them look the best. good luck! :)

What are some hair straightening tips?

If you are using a flat iron use a leave in conditioner and a smoothing serum. The best smoothing serums are silicone based such as Matrix Sealing Serum. They not only protect the hair from the high heat of the iron but lock out humidity. If the flat iron is not your thing you can still use a smoothing shampoo. It will help to calm the frizz down with out drying the hair or taking the curl out. Also if you blow dry your hair hold the dryer close to the head and do not allow the air to wildly dry . another tip is not to dry the hair all the way.

Hair Problem?

I have very bushy and curly hair...the only thing I can do with it is scrunch it and put it up in a pony tail. I would like to do more than that. I don't want something that will take forever though because I don't like to wake up earlier just to do my hair. Like straightening my hair takes forever. I pretty much get, up have breakfast, take a shower, get ready, and do my hair. My hair takes me ten minutes at the most. So if you could suggest some good ideas that won't take long to do that would be great...thanks.

Hair Problem?

mkayy...i know how you feel, i have the same problem --%26gt; my hair is curly and thick.... you should get it layered and cut shoulder length, that takes care of the frizz...wash it at night and leave it to dry overnight; in the morning, take some gel and mix it with water, then scrunch your hair....give it about 5 minutes to dry and....you're ready togo! =)

Hair Problem?

http://www.seventeen.com/hair-skin-makeu...

this is a GREAT site :)

Hair Problem?

well i dont think theres much else you could do with it sorry hun. You could invest in some Ghd straightening irons which work very well and very quickly on your type of hair as they heat up very quickly and are hot so they should work a treat. Or you could always get a perm done at the hair dressers which brings out your natural curls in your hair without any frizz. Also when your washing your hair use shampoos and conditioners which are dedicated to people with curly or frizzy hair. i find frizz ease works really well. But whatever you do don't cut it short as this will only make it frizzier as thers not as much hair. hope i helped.

Questions concerning thin hair.............?

1) Would getting my hair chemically straightened make my already thin hair fallout? What are the effects on straightening thin hair?

2) Name some really good tps and/or products that volumize hair.

Questions concerning thin hair.............?

Getting your hair straightened chemically will destroy it if it is already thin.. I suggest that you don't do it.

Questions concerning thin hair.............?

1) Yes, it will probably make it worse, plus it will look dull because of the breakage.

2) I suggest you look around the Lush store. They have a product called BIG Shampoo that is supposed to work wonders. You could also try dying your hair with Henna. Henna is a vegetable dye that gives your hair more thickness, does not damage it at all, and adds incredible shine. The Lush store has good Henna, so I suggest you check it out carefully because Henna is a little messy and you need to get every step right.

BIOSILK hair therapy??? How come it doesn't really do anything to my hair?

I bought the biosilk hair therapy. I shook it well and applied to wet hair before blow drying and to dry hair before straightening...but I feel like it doesn't really do much to my hair? Did it work for other people???

I thought it'd make my hair soft and shiny but it's okay...

BIOSILK hair therapy??? How come it doesn't really do anything to my hair?

It works for me. It prevents spilt ends and it also makes my hair a lot smoother when I straighten it. It also acts as a protectant against the intense heat.

BIOSILK hair therapy??? How come it doesn't really do anything to my hair?

Try applying on dry hair

BIOSILK hair therapy??? How come it doesn't really do anything to my hair?

omg i have biosilk...

it makes my hair feel like rubber!!!

=/

BIOSILK hair therapy??? How come it doesn't really do anything to my hair?

I said the same thing to my hairstylist and what did he say to me you might ask. The stuff is already amazing for styling and now you want it to do majic tricks 2! Well I took it to be a no but isn't that stuff awesome!

BIOSILK hair therapy??? How come it doesn't really do anything to my hair?

Not all hair products work the same for everyone. That's why when commercials or advertisements for hair have the word "guaranteed," I ignore it, because it may not work the way they advertise.

For example, Dove works wonderfully with my hair, but it dries my step-mother's hair out. She can use Herbal Essences, but it weighs my hair down and makes it look unwashed.

BIOSILK hair therapy??? How come it doesn't really do anything to my hair?

it all depends on ur hair ... not everythin will work ..

What hair products repair hair that is damaged from straightening it?

mazini my mom had the same promblem and now her hair is so rich

What hair products repair hair that is damaged from straightening it?

Dove intense care treatment.

What hair products repair hair that is damaged from straightening it?

Joico's K-PAK!

What hair products repair hair that is damaged from straightening it?

dove shampoo %26amp; conditioner intense therapy hair repair, i dont know exactly what its called, but i love it and it works. its the one in the dark blue bottle

What hair products repair hair that is damaged from straightening it?

Nothing really repairs already damaged hair, hair products can just prevent more damage from occuring.

What I do to help keep my hair from getting as many split ends as it used is I blow dry my hair right when I get out of the shower, which makes me have to straighten my hair less, and reduces the amount of split ends I will recieve.

You can reduce the look of split ends with split end menders, such as with bed head, and stuff.

What hair products repair hair that is damaged from straightening it?

Infusium and Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum both work really well!

What hair products repair hair that is damaged from straightening it?

you should go in to the stylist and get a trim.. one of my fav damaging fixer shampoo is sunsilk.. use it everyday for about a week and your hair will be alot softer

What hair products repair hair that is damaged from straightening it?

If your hair is already damaged there really isn't a way to "repair" it, I don't care what those absolutely wrong dove commercials say. There is a way to make them look much better.... You have to use some good products. I recommend Redken extreme shampoo and cond., and the same line also has a leave in cond. called anti-snap that rocks. it will help prevent further damage and help what is already there look better. You def. need to start using a product between your hair and the iron though, I love Paul Mitchell gloss drops, you only need a little bit, put it on your hair dry and iron over it. You can add a little more after your done for more shine. Hope I helped : )

(oh yeah and a good trim)

What hair products repair hair that is damaged from straightening it?

samy's 3-minute emergency deep conditioner!

you should try it, it works great.

Chemical Straightening???

I've heard it can wreck your hair but straightening it every days kinda mental and its getting damaged anyway what should i do?

Chemical Straightening???

my neighbor does it. her hair looks great! I would suggest talking to a hair dress if you are considering it. This will prevent unwanted damage to your hair.

I use a flat iron instead.

Chemical Straightening???

It is good but you will still need to straighten it in the morning it is really only for people with really curly hair that want straight hair kind of like a perm

Chemical Straightening???

Let your hair stay curley

Chemical Straightening???

id like to know myself... been wanting it done put have it coloured so i have no idea? good luck

Chemical Straightening???

It can mess up your hair just as every other modern day thing you can do to your hair. straitening irons, blow dryers... they all can take their toll. I say you outweigh your pros and cons and hopefully come up with a good solution.

Chemical Straightening???

It's called Japanese straightener, similiar to a perm but it does the opposite. It is usually around $500... I would only suggest doing it if you have very unruly curly hair otherwise stick with the flat iron.

Chemical Straightening???

Japanese Hair Straightening.

Chemical Straightening???

Mine is chemically straightened, but I have afro american hair.

Takes the toll and stress of having to get my GHD's out everyday but you do have to look after it better as its more prone to breakage unfortunately!

Hope this helps :)

Chemical Straightening???

I've seen the one at boots too, I'm curious about it. Anyone tried it

Chemical Straightening???

chemical straigthening =damage.

us this before and after and you will have NO damage. Read every page it states it on their website. guarantee no damage

I think you should check out www.biolustreflorida.com

I just went to their launch party and had my hair done, free as a demo. Its amazing, my hair was breaking off and flying away. I will always always buy this stuff. Its awesome, I saw a difference as soon as she rinsed my hair. I have no damage anymore, its unbelievable! No more split-ends, its like my hair is NEW! I love it!

www.biolustreflorida.com

Make sure you watch their video on the site, its amazing. Lady changes her hair color 3 times in 30 minutes with NO DAMAGE

Chemical Straightening???

I am thinking about getting this done aswell and thought I'd research it a bit first. it does sound really harsh to your hair but as long as the hairdresser does everything correctly and you use the appropriate after-care it sounds a good idea. I got really bored with straightening every morning and it didn't do my hair much good either. I think i might get it done after christmas when I've got a bit of money because it costs quite a lot, along with the after care products. Also, it can depend on what your hair is like, dark, thick hair is a perfect candidate for this type of treatment and can usually handle the chemicals. If your hair is damaged from straightening irons or colouring, it is advised to wait until your hair has recovered before getting it chemically straightened. The cons have still not put me off and I think I'll still get it done, but I think on the day I'll still be a bit nervous about something going wrong even though it'll probably be fine!
